Shock! Horror! GTA V announcement!

I know nothing about GTA, pretty much nothing. I just felt obliged to mention this seeing as this is a gaming blog, and Grand Theft Auto is probably the biggest games franchise in the world in terms of recognisability from even non-gamers. I mean, Rockstar are the only developer/publisher that don't need to announce their new game at some swanky event like E3, they simply do this (http://www.rockstargames.com/) to their homepage, and there is already a huge buzz around it. I, like everybody else, will watch the trailer on the 2nd November, but I'm not particularly excited about it.

GTA has been a series that has pretty much passed me by. I missed out on the heady glory days of PS2-era Grand Theft Auto due to their naughty content and me being 10 when San Andreas was released. So, understandably when I was a big boy, I was excited to play GTA IV to see what the hype was about,

I didn't like it very much. I didn't play it very much. Rampaging was fun, but other than that it was a tedious, tedious game. I also have Vice City Stories on PSP, but GTA is not a good fit for PSP at all.
I'm willing to be convinced by GTA V, as I've always been into the concept, but let's just say I won't be at the midnight launch.
